Hiker dies while on the Thunderbird Falls Trail in Chugiak
No foul play is suspected.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Alaska State Troopers say a hiker experienced a medical emergency on the Thunderbird Falls Trail and died shortly after.
Troopers say Alaska State Parks, Chugiak Fire and EMS, and Anchorage Police Department responded to the trail. Once on the scene, the investigation revealed a 41-year-old Illinois male suffered a medical emergency while hiking the trail and passed out.
AST says witnesses administered CPR until Troopers and EMS arrived, the life-saving measures continued when first responders were on scene, but the male was declared deceased on the trail.
APD is taking over the death investigation.
Troopers say no foul play is suspected.
