Rosie Brennan helps U.S. ski team make history at World Cup Women’s race

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - When Rosie Brennan and Jessie Diggins raced to a 1-2 finish in the 10-kilometer freestyle pursuit Sunday in Val Müstair, Switzerland, they secured the first-ever 1-2 finish for the U.S. in a FIS cross-country skiing World Cup Women’s race. The result also moving the two skiers into first and second in the Tour de Ski standings.
With the second-place finish in the Tour de Ski event, Brennan maintains her overall world cup lead. She is only the second American to wear the yellow bib as the world cup overall leader.
Monday is a rest day for the skiers, then the Tour de Ski continues on January 5, with the last event taking place on January 10.
