Sullivan sworn in for second term in US Senate
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan was joined by his wife and their three daughters Sunday as he was sworn into the 117th Congress by Vice President Mike Pence.
The ceremony took place at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 3.
In a press release from his office, Sullivan said that being able to serve Alaskans in the U.S. Senate is one of the greatest honors of his life.
“I will continue to fight on behalf of our state, safeguarding the historic progress we made over the past six years,” he said, “rebuilding the military, increasing opportunities for resource development and good-paying jobs, expanding access to our lands, protecting and enhancing our world-class fisheries, and preserving our constitutional rights.”
