ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - While weather conditions stay cloudy and mild in southcentral Alaska, showers and gusty winds hit the Aleutian island chain. Southeast Alaska will also see a low pressure system offshore pump clouds and rain into the region.

May stays on the mild side for southcentral. There is also a Flood Advisory for Aniak along the Kuskokwim River through 10:15 am Friday. High water from snowmelt and an ice jam on Kuskokwim River is causing minor flooding at Aniak. Flooding of low lying areas at Aniak is occurring including the gravel pit, fuel dock, and low lying roads.

Sunshine chances are highest in southwest Alaska. Robins are again showing up for the summer season. This beautiful bird spotted in Bethel by JoeJoe Prince.
