ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A series of disturbances will bring heavy rain to interior Alaska through Friday, with the added development of thunderstorms in the afternoons and evenings.

Thunderstorms also become a possibility for the Chugach and Talkeetna Mountains, Susitna Valley and Copper River Basin Friday, Saturday and Sunday too, in the warmer, later parts of the day. Please remember the saying “When thunder roars, go indoors.”

A ridge of high pressure helps to clear the skies for southwest and southcentral. The next three days is looking like a nice run of June weather.
