Owen Pherson was barely 1 year old when he was diagnosed with a condition causing abnormalities in his head shape.

Through surgery offered at Providence, Pherson was able to be treated in Alaska.

Pherson's doctors say abnormalities in skull shape happen more frequently in the state than we realize and are particularly prominent in Alaska natives.
