AFD responding to East Anchorage fire

Anchorage firefighters are battling a fire that started in one unit of a multi-family dwelling and spread to the roof on the 8000 block of 16th Avenue.

AFD says there are no reported injuries. It's unknown if there was anyone inside at the time.

Witnesses on the scene reported to KTUU that a man attempted to enter the burning house but was stopped from entering by firefighters on the scene.
