Students and parents who want to register for Anchorage School District sports and activities will now have to do so online. The option opens up on July 19.

Interested parties can now create accounts, but will not be able to enroll until that date.

According to the school district website, ArbiterAthlete - a new online high school student activity database and registration portal - will be released at the start of school year to replace the current paper form system. Ideally, this will also help simplify the system for registrants and operators, too.

If you would like to register for an account ahead of the July 19 open date, you can do so by texting a school's unique code to 69274, following the URL provided in response and completing the content fill form; or by visiting

, clicking 'Sign Up,' and entering the information requested.

Health exam forms, which require a doctor's signature, and fee waiver forms are still submitted in paper. Keep in mind, health exams are good for 18 months and must be current through the season of the sport.‌
