Alaska State Troopers say the Sterling Highway is clear and traffic is flowing normally through this area following the crash.

Original Story

Alaska State Troopers say a semi tractor-trailer has slide into a ditch in Cooper Landing and lanes will be closed to recover it.

AST says the crash happened near Mile 52.5 of the Sterling Highway just south of Gwen's Lodge.

The alert of the closure came out around 6 a.m.

Troopers say the northbound lane is expected to be closed for several hours with a temporary closure of both lanes expected once a recovery company arrives.

AST is stressing for driving to be careful while on the roads.
