Alaska YouTube creator is making a name for herself

Annemarie Allen, or Annemarie Chase as she goes by on social media, is a YouTube creator/ social media influencer who started her video career in Anchorage.

Allen said she moved to Anchorage in the fifth grade and kind of felt out of place with all her peers who were lifelong Alaskans. In comes YouTube and content creating; there Allen found her calling in how she would express herself and tell her unique stories.

Allen started doing make-up tutorials on her channel before moving to the more lifestyle vlogs.

Allen is seven years into YouTube Content creating. To date, both of her Alaska focused videos have gained close to 66,000 views. Though that may not seem like a lot, her most popular video to date has over 500,000 views.

“I think creating has completely changed my life entirely. The type of creating I do I think is unique because it’s really just documenting my life and what I’m doing. It’s kind of given me the opportunity to do a lot more than I think I would on my own,” said Allen, “It encourages you to do a lot more, and I’ve gotten so many opportunities through it. I’ve gotten to travel to Ibiza and around the Ibiza islands.”
