The course is ready and the mountain is calling your name, as registration is currently open for this Sunday's Banked Slalom at Alyeska.
The race is open to riders ages 8 and up, but registration is limited to the first 120 participants.
It's $10 to enter, with prizes of value far exceeding that number. One of the premier sponsors, Oakley Alaska, is will be giving a coveted pair of "snoggles" to the fastest time on the slalom course. The all-mountain shades are styled after the same ones Olympians wore in Pyeongchang.
Oakley Alaska's Aaron Ulmer says, "I love this event because anyone can get in, compete, ride and have fun. Through the years we've seen the younger kids come up and get better, and now their brothers and sisters compete too. It's a good all around family race event"
The race course is already completed and set up in the White Friday Gully, for those riders wanting to sneak in a few practice runs prior to Sunday.
