Though Anchorage's election is primarily by mail, anyone who needs extra assistance can now cast their ballot at an in-person Accessible Vote Center.

Anchorage residents are voting on Assembly members, School Board members, a number of bonds, an alcohol tax and more.

The Municipal Election ballot deadline is April 2, the last day for residents in Anchorage and surrounding municipality communities like Eagle River, Chugiak and Girdwood to place their votes.

This vote is a vote-by-mail election, so if you didn't register by the March 3 deadline, you won't receive a ballot and there won't be regular polling places open.

At the AVC's, or Accessible Vote Centers, voters can turn in a mailed ballot return envelope and voted ballot, replace a lost or damaged ballot, receive a ballot package if you did not receive one in the mail, vote a questioned ballot, receive voting assistance, and get help with other voter questions.
