Anchorage Opera prepares for opening day of 'An American Dream'
Cast members of the Anchorage Opera's upcoming production of "An American Dream" were rehearsing at the Sydney Laurence Theatre over the weekend.
Judy Berry of the Anchorage Opera called the production a "powerful, timely Alaska premiere with the composer as conductor," adding that the group hopes that it plays to full houses, fosters communication and provokes thought.
The production will be presented on Feb. 15, 16 and 17 at the Sydney Laurence Theatre in Downtown Anchorage. As part of the same series, "Through the Eyes of Women," "La Boheme" will be presented at the Discovery Theatre on April 12, 13 and 14.
