Nonprofit connects girls to prom dresses for free

Stepping inside Becca's closet you will find hundreds of dresses in a variety of styles, sizes and colors.
The non-profit connects girls with the prom dress of their dreams. Anna Grant, started the Becca's Closet chapter in Alaska in 2012."Most people can't just up front afford prom dresses," said Grant.
Becca's Closet is based in Anchorage but available to girls all across Alaska.
Becca's Closet started in the early 2000s to honor Rebecca Kirtman who died in a vehicle crash. The non-profit said as a high school student Becca asked for donations to help more than 200 hundred girls get dresses for prom.
Becca's Closet's is located at 5530 E Northern Lights Blvd. Inside the Anchorage School District's Education Center. Girls can pick out dresses on the following dates: April 7th,14th, 21st and 28th between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
You may drop off your donations during the Saturday events or on site Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Anchorage chapter is located at 5530 E Northern Lights Blvd.
