A break in at one local comic book store wound up not costing the store as much as they may have thought.

At approximately six in the morning on Saturday, a man dressed in what employees are calling a “ninja outfit” broke into the store, took a look around, and removed a curved Japanese-style sword, also known as a katana.

“We were worried, you know, a break in. That’s not good,” said Bailey Deakin, an assistant manager at the store.

When employees arrived on the scene and began to take inventory, however, they found that not much was actually found to be missing, and the store itself had very minimal damage.

Though the police response to the store's tripped alarm was swift, the costumed thief managed to escape with the sword in hand.

Employees at the store were joking that the ninja in question was so poor that he had to steal a sword.

Management is by and large thankful that no one was hurt and that the property stolen was not expensive.
