It's day four of the murder trial for Trayvon Morrissette, who is accused of shooting and killing 30-year-old Jorge Rea-Villa in 2016.

Thursday in court an Anchorage Police officer and a witness testified about the crime scene. Morrissette is accused of shooting and killing Rea-Villa during a 4th of July barbecue in 2016. Rea-Villa was found shot to death in the bathroom of a trailer home on the 4000 block of Lore Road. Police claim that Morrissette led officers on a chase across town to South Anchorage in the hours after the shooting. The victim’s father says he wants the community to work together to prevent another tragedy from happening.

"My message to our society is to work together against the crime and we can make a big difference. And justice gonna come too," said Jorge Rae-Garcia, father of 30-year-old Jorge Rea-Villa.

The trial continues on Monday.
