An Emmonak man is facing attempted murder and assault after allegedly discharging gun and threatening family members.

According to an Alaska State Trooper dispatch, a report was made of a disturbance at a residence in Emmonak on Saturday.

An investigation revealed Lucas Agathluk allegedly struck a household member in the head multiple times.

AST wrote a neighbor went to assist when the 23 year old pointed a rifle at them and made threats.

After the citizen ran from the house, Agathluk began shooting, according to AST.

Agathluk had also allegedly threatened another family member with his rifle gun and a gun toward a family member.

"Agathluk was contacted at another family members residence during the contact he resisted arrest," AST wrote.

After being taken into custody, AST said Agathluk continued to be assaultive at the jail.

Agathluk now faces charges including attempted murder in the first degree, assault in the third degree and fourth degree, misconduct involving weapons in the second degree, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.

Agathluk is currently in Bethel and being lodged at YKCC awaiting arraignment.
