A creature, who is active only at night, was recently caught on camera.
Flying squirrels have kitten-soft fur and are happily gliding through Alaska's forests virtually unseen.
The flying squirrel, or night glider, is a cousin to the red squirrel. They are nocturnal. This little fellow was seen on the bird feeder as it comes every night for a midnight snack, according to Kenny Sanders, who shared this video with Channel 2 News.
The Alaska Department of Fish and Game says flying squirrels are more abundant than people think, as they inhabit Alaska forests from Ketchikan to Fairbanks.
