Former Alaska lawmaker Zach Fansler to be arraigned on June 21 in Juneau

Bethel's former House representative in the Alaska Legislature is scheduled to be arraigned on June 21 in Juneau on a single count of harassment in the second degree.

, court records show Fansler is due to appear at Juneau's Dimond Courthouse at 1:15 p.m. on June 21.

The charge stems from a January incident in which Fansler allegedly hit a woman, rupturing her eardrum during a drunken attack at a hotel room.

Fansler resigned on February 12 — 16 days after the initial

of the alleged assault. Fansler was replaced by Democratic Rep. Tiffany Zulkosky, who was sworn in to the House mid-session on March 9.
