Hot dog! Stylin' pooches strut their stuff for a good cause
Dogs of all shapes and sizes strutted down the catwalk Saturday in Anchorage. The 'Howl Couture' fashion show gave dog moms and dads a chance to parade their pooch in front of other dog lovers.
Around 20 dogs competed in the friendly contest. Entry fees for the contest went to support Alaska Bully Rescue.
In addition to the dolled up dogs, the event also gave local small pet-businesses a chance to show off their services.
"It's a good segment of our community that needs to be highlighted," said Daisy Nicolas of Drool Central. "Nobody's really highlighting that part, and I want to because I have attended other events, bazaars -- it's all for people. I want something for the pets."
The contest winners were determined by whoever received the loudest a-paws.
