Investigators are still looking for answers into how a young hunter in an Alaskan village wound up dead on Wednesday.

According to an Alaska State Trooper dispatch report, Jarius Nelson, 24, left his home in the village of Koliganek to go hunting earlier in the day on Jan. 10. He left on foot, and never returned, authorities say.

"A hasty team was sent to look for Jaris," troopers wrote in the report, and his body was found at around 9:30 p.m. that night.

While troopers say that they do not suspect foul play in his death, the investigation into how he died is ongoing.

Nelson's body was transported to Anchorage for an autopsy, in hopes that it could help provide answers into what happened to him.
