"It's like the Grinch Stole Christmas," Leah Snyder, Faith Lutheran Kindergarten teacher said.
Snyder said, she had all of the gifts to her students and faculty wrapped and ready to give out.
Monday morning she walked into her classroom and to her surprise shattered glass and wrapping paper were everywhere, said Snyder.
"My first feelings when I got the call, I cried because it is just a really scary thing to hear someone broke into your classroom to your kindergarten room," said Snyder.
She said, the gifts were gone along with her computer, two Kindle e-readers and a jar full of Hershey's Kisses.
"It's kind of makes me sad that someone would want to come and take away from the kids," Snyder said. " I hope if they really needed a sweater, which was in one of those packages. Then they got that and that could keep them warm."
She said, the police came and fingerprinted the area.
Snyder said, the kid's were not happy when they found out someone broke into their classroom, but they did enjoy watching the police work.
The church's Pastor Christoper Ewings said this isn't the first time a theft has happened.
"On four different occasions this summer we had people come into our church and steal gas from our van and from our personal vehicles," Pastor Ewings.
Pastor Ewings said this just shows there is more work to be done.
"It gives us more motivation for us to get out there and share the good news of Jesus with our community," Pastor Ewings said.
