Local dance crew takes the national stage on America's Got Talent
A local dance crew is showcasing just how talented Anchorage is on the national level.
Artistic Drift Crew appeared on America's Got Talent and got the yes vote from all of the judges. They are a local hip hop fusion crew with a studio called Drift Gallery in Anchorage.
The group hopes this national spotlight will put Alaska on the map for other hip hop dancers.
“There is going to be children now in the future and hopefully even at this moment in L.A. and places where there are arts hubs thinking wow, I want to go to Alaska because I want to grow as a dancer. Our goal is to not let the talent leave Alaska but to keep it here and to make Alaska a place where people can grow and people can make a living out of this stuff," says Suparat Prasannat, Artistic Drift Crew member.
Their audition aired in a short montage in an episode on Tuesday, June 11th.
The studio is offering hip hop dance summer camps for kids with their second session starting July 1st. You can find more information
