It is a holiday decoration that is totally Alaskan — a Christmas tree made of moose antlers.

Local photographer Coby Brock told Channel 2 that he and his friend Charlie Moore came up with the idea and decided to film it. Moore already had the naturally-shed moose antlers, which he uses to make dog chews.

"We just thought it would be fun," Brock said. "And he knew that I knew how to put the time lapse together and edit a little bit and he had all the moose antlers, so it worked out pretty well for both of us."

It took about 500 pounds of antlers and less than 30 minutes to put the creation together. Brock said their next project will probably involve caribou antlers.
