No injuries reported in plane crash on Big Lake
A pilot is safe after crashing a plane into Big Lake Saturday. Authorities were investigating the crash that happened near Burkshore Marina that evening.
According to Ken Barkley of Mat-Su Borough Emergency Services, the pilot was flying a Cessna aircraft when they crashed on the lake. The plane hit ice and did not go underwater.
Little information was immediately available. Barkley said no injuries were reported, but was unable to specify how many passengers were on board, only that the pilot was able to walk away unharmed.
