Anchorage's largest hospital was alerted early Thursday of a threat against the structure.

The bomb threat was reported to 911 at Providence Alaska Medical Center, and Anchorage police got involved.

According to MJ Thim, spokesperson for APD, the call came in around 8:15 a.m. on April 5.

"Police are coordinating with Providence security right now," Thim said, "But there is no evacuation in place, and no injuries have been reported."

From there, security forces will comb through the building, clearing it of any potential threats.

"We take every public safety threat seriously," Thim said Thursday.
