Reward grows to $7,600 in Merrill Field airport tire-slashing case

A reward for information leading to an arrest in the Merrill Field tire slashing case has grown to over $7,600.
Police say they have identified a person of interest and that they are continuing to investigate the June 2 vandalism case. Sometime between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. that day, an estimated 87 planes had their tires punctured.
The Alaskan Aviation Safety Foundation has partnered with Crime Stoppers to offer a $7631 reward to tips leading to an arrest.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP or at www.anchoragecrimestoppers.com.
Tips must be received by Crime Stoppers to be eligible for the reward. All tipsters will remain anonymous.
