Ring in 2018 with these New Year's Eve festivities in Anchorage

There are numerous family-friendly and adults-only events occurring across town this New Year's Eve. Check out this list of events so you don't miss out on the festivities as 2017 wraps up.

Anchorage Events: Family-friendly

Where: Anchorage Town Square

When: 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. | Fireworks Spectacular concludes the event at 8 p.m.

What: A free community event with an Aurora Borealis light show, carnival games, food trucks, live music, photo ops, street performers and more. To conclude the festivities, watch Fireworks Spectacular at 8 p.m. This event is family-friendly.

Where: Hard Rock Cafe | 415 E Street

When: 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. (Family-friendly) | 9 p.m. - 12 a.m. (21+ Only)

What: Hard Rock Cafe is celebrating its New Year's Bash with the whole family from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Then at 9 p.m., the event will switch gears to a "21+ only" party, including a $10 cover charge and a live performance by

. A champagne toast will take place at midnight.

Where: Atwood Center | 4455 University Drive

When: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

What: Run, or dance, a 5K through the APU Campus and nearby wood trails. Along the way, this run will feature five unique light and music experiences. The race begins at 6 p.m. and the after-party will continue until 8 p.m. Admission costs between $35 and $50, depending on sign-up date. Organizers also ask that participants leave their pets at home.

Where: Alaska Dance Promotions | 300 E Dimond Boulevard

When: 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.

What: Salsa and Bachata your way into the new year at the dance studio. Alaska Dance Promotions will provide dancing, drinks, food and prizes. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. This event is family-friendly.

Where: Spenard Roadhouse | 1049 W Northern Lights Boulevard

When: 9:30 p.m. - 1 a.m.

What: Spenard Roadhouse is hosting a celebration with music provided by

. Onsite will be party favors and a photo booth. Available for purchase include cocktail and dinner specials along with a late-night menu. This event welcomes minors only if they are accompanied by their parents.

Where: Church of Love Spenard | 3502 Spenard Road

When: 9:30 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.

What: Celebrate the new year and sobriety with a dance party hosted by Recover Alaska and Recovery for Life. This substance-free event will include door prizes, music, snacks and a sparkling cider toast. The event is free for participants under 18, and costs $5 at the door for participants 18+.

Anchorage Events: Adults-only

Where: 49th State Brewing Co. | 717 West 3rd Avenue

When: 7 p.m.

What: 49th State Brewing Co. hosts a rooftop party, including a $5 cover charge. At 8 p.m., party-goers will have front-row seats for Anchorage's Fireworks Spectacular display. Then at midnight, there will be a complimentary beer toast. This event is 21+ only.

Where: Williwaw | 609 F Street

When: 7 p.m.

What: Williwaw hosts its end of year All Decades Video Dance Party with

. This dance party will feature a midnight balloon drop and a Top 20 Songs of 2017 video countdown on Williwaw's big screen. Also onsite will be drink specials, food, a photo booth and more. VIP tickets include rooftop access to watch Anchorage's downtown fireworks at 8 p.m. General admission costs $10 and VIP costs $50. This event is 21+ only.

Where: Hotel Captain Cook | 939 W 5th Avenue

When: 7 p.m.

What: Hotel Captain Cook hosts its annual party, and this year's theme is masquerade – don't forget your masks at home. The event is complete with a buffet dinner, games, dancing, music and prizes.

will provide music from the '70s, '80s and '90s. Admission costs $75 and this event is 21+ only.

Where: Sheraton Hotel | 401 E 6th Avenue

When: 8 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. | Doors open at 7 p.m.

What: This extravagant James Bond / Casino Royale themed party provides a night of casino games, cocktails, desserts, hors d'oeuvres and more. Live music will be provided by DJ Special. General admission costs $85 and VIP costs $145. This event is 21+ only.

Where: Mad Myrna's | 530 E 5th Avenue

When: 8 p.m. - 2:30 a.m. | Friday Night Divas special NYE show at 9 p.m.

What: Mad Myrna's hosts its Bring in the Bling celebration this New Year's Eve. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best Costumes (male, female and couple). Starting at 9 p.m., the Friday Night Divas will perform its special NYE show. A toast will be made at midnight. Tickets are $10 at the door. This event is 21+ only.

Where: Anchorage Community Works | 349 E Ship Creek Avenue

When: 9 p.m. - 1 a.m.

What: "Yer Homies" are hosting a warehouse dance party this New Year's Eve. Live music will be provided by

When: 9 p.m. - 2 a.m. | Doors open at 5 p.m.

What: This downtown New Year's Eve Celebrations is a 3-in-1 deal. For a $10 cover charge that goes into effect at 9 p.m., party-goers will have access to three different facilities:

What: Koots celebrates New Year's Eve by inviting

Eagle River Events

Where: Eagle River Alaska Lions Club | 18344 Eagle River Road

When: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. | Fireworks show concludes the event at 8 p.m.

What: Ring in the new year in Eagle River with a free community event hosted by Alliance Christian Fellowship. On site will be fire pits and food trucks. And at 8 p.m., watch the fireworks show. This event is family-friendly.

Girdwood Events

Where: Alyeska Resort | 1000 Arlberg Avenue

When: 9 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. | Fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m.

What: As per tradition, watch snowboarders and skiers carry torches in procession down the slope. A fireworks show will display at 9:30 p.m. This event is family-friendly.

Where: Sitzmark Bar & Grill | 100 Olympic Mountain Loop

When: 10 p.m.

What: A quartet of Colorado musicians bring you a mix of Grateful Dead and Phish songs. It's a three-day New Year's event. Admission costs $10 on Friday and Saturday, and $20 on Sunday. This event is 21+ only.
