Roadtrippin': Bear viewing at Lake Clark National Park
The bears of Alaska are both revered and feared by residents, who live alongside the largest population of brown bears in North America.
In this Roadtrippin’ Alaska, we head to Chinitna Bay in Lake Clark National Park, an area that’s home to pristine wildlife habitat of hundreds brown bears. Bear viewing season is just kicking off for the year, as the recently hibernating animals are becoming more active.
Out Channel 2 Road Trippin' crew spend the day on the water with Capt. Mel Erickson, owner of Alaskan Game Fisher, which runs seasonal bear viewing tours from Anchor Point on the Kenai Peninsula to Chinitna Bay.
