Studying Alaskan avalanches throughout a decade

If you head out into Alaska's back country during winter, avalanches are always a danger.

Aleph Johnston-Bloom, a forecaster with the Chugach National Forest Avalanche Information Center has recently wrapped up a major study of avalanche accidents in Alaska during the past decade.

Channel 2's Mike Ross and Rebecca Palsha spoke with her live from Girdwood about her findings.
