Ski jumping in summer? Why Anchorage's Hilltop is so unique

The flowers are blooming and the salmon are running. We are enjoying the peak of summer. But one group of folks is still in full winter sports mode.

Anchorage is one of just over a dozen ski jumping locations around the United States that is outfitted for summer jumping.

This week, the Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage is holding a camp for ski jumpers.

Channel 2's Eric Sowl visited the camp, where 12 of the kids attending are from locations around the Lower 48.
