A suspect is under arrest for a homicide in the Turnagain area, court records show.

48-year-old Oscar Garcia was found dead in a vehicle on Merrill Drive on Nov. 3. Anchorage Police said at the time that he suffered trauma to the body.

Rhadames Marmolejos, 27, is charged with murder in the first degree and kidnapping for the crime, according to court records and the Anchorage District Attorney's Office. Federal court records indicate he was taken into custody by APD on Nov. 8.

In 2013, Marmolejos was sentenced to 84-months in prison for drug trafficking.

A press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office at the time said Marmolejos sold heroin on eight separate occasions to an undercover agent working for the DEA. Federal prosecutors said, "In prior state cases, Marmolejos assaulted his victims while using both firearms and death threats."

Marmolejos was released from federal custody in July of this year.

Wednesday morning police identified a second suspect as 23-years-old Elijah Ramirez.

Ramirez faces the same charges as Marmolejos.
