Anchorage
  • Ship Creek: Silvers are steady. Try vibrax or cured salmon roe under a slip-bobber
  • Stocked Lakes: Try Beach Lake in Eagle River and Taku Campbell Lake in Anchorage for Rainbow Trout
  • Campbell Creek: Fishing for Coho has been good with the recent rains. Check regs for limits
  • Bird Creek: Anglers are weed through Pinks for the Coho
  • Kenai Peninsula
    • Prince William Sound: Kings being caught around Passage Canal. Pinks are picking up near Valdez
    • Lower Kenai: Closed for Sockeye Salmon effective August 4
    • Russian River/Upper Kenai: Kenai is closed for Sockeye Salmon fishing. Russian River catching has been fair
    • Kenai & Kasilof Rivers: Kenai is closed for Sockeye Salmon fishing. Meanwhile, Kasilof River Sockeye fishing is good
    • Anchor, Ninilchik, Starski, Deep Creek: Cohos are present. Lingcod and Halibut are fair. Clamming tides are open August 9-14. Reminder that only the West side of Cook Inlet is open to clamming.
    • North Gulf Coast: King Salmon fishing has slowed down. A few Sockeye and Coho are showing up
    • Lower Cook Inlet: Halibut are steady. Kings are near Bluff Point and Homer Spit. Coho are present
