Enjoying National Doughnut Day? Here's the history behind the celebration

There are over 10 billion doughnuts made in the U.S. every year, so it's fitting that there's a day to celebrate them; the first Friday in June is National Doughnut Day.
Something you might not know, however, is that this celebratory day actually started back in 1938 as a way to help the Salvation Army raise money.
Channel 2's Eric Sowl tells us how a day that seems like it recognizes an indulgent treat-- is actually a day of remembrance.
