Traffic at a crawl heading north on the Seward Highway after injury crash
Traffic on the Seward Highway is at a crawl heading north from Girdwood to Anchorage as the annual Girdwood Forest Fair winds down Sunday afternoon.
Compounding problems was an injury crash at Bird Point that delayed traffic for around an hour starting just after 1:30 p.m.
APD said officers were directing traffic for both northbound and southbound lanes and that delays should be expected.
Both lanes of traffic reopened shortly after 2:15 p.m.
On Saturday, traffic
was at a crawl for hours due to the annual Girdwood Forest Fair.
Police had warned that a similar traffic situation could be expected Sunday due to the holidays and the Forest Fair.
