ORIGINAL STORY:
A vehicle fire on the Glenn Highway briefly closed inbound lanes between Mirror Lake and North Peters Creek on Wednesday, Anchorage police say.
Police were notified just before 3:00 p.m. that an RV was on fire and had pulled over to the side of the highway. The occupants of the vehicle were seen exiting and no injuries were reported, according to APD spokeswoman Renee Oistad.
At around 3:10 p.m., police shut down inbound lanes near the vehicle to allow firefighters to extinguish the flames. The left hand lane was reopened at around 3:22 p.m., Oistad said.
