Alaska State Troopers say a Wasilla pilot walked away from a plane crash uninjured Thursday night after the Super Cub Timothy he was flying left the runway and struck several trees.

Troopers and Central Mat-Su EMS responded to an airstrip off of Sam's Circle in Wasilla at 5:58 p.m. Thursday.

Emergency crews located the pilot, identified by AST as Timothy M. Delph, 53, of Wasilla.

Delph told investigators his aircraft left the runway and struck several trees after a bad landing. The aircraft suffered moderate damage.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the NTSB.
