Wasilla police lose K9 officer to cancer

The Wasilla Police Department has lost one of its K9 Officers, according to a post on the department's Facebook page.

The social media post says K9 Marshal became ill during the night and during an attempted surgery "an aggressive cancer was located and Marshal did not make it."

Channel 2 reached out to the Wasilla Police Department for more information, but were told the Investigator we need to speak with would not be available until Monday morning.
