Ketchikan's very own Jesse LeBeau has taken his story of underdog to on top. Known as "The Celebrity Teen Coach" LeBeau is one of today's most highly sought after youth speakers. He's also one of the world's premiere basketball trick artists. LeBeau's story started during his time growing up in the small Alaskan town where he said he always felt like he had to prove himself. Not your average speaker, LeBeau uses his basketball skills to engage his audience and get kids to open up. Today, he speaks to millions of teens about his own struggle and shares his message that attitude is everything.
"It's talking about not getting bitter but getting better. With these kids that are sharing their stories whether it's here in Alaska or elsewhere, it's like what's your story and I hear their story and then it's like what now," he said.
Jesse's in Alaska touring and speaking to students in the Mat-Su Borough School District.
Thursday, March 29, 2018 he's speaking at Sutton Elementary at 10:00 a.m. and then Shaw Elementary at 2:45 p.m.
Friday, March 30th he will be at Machetanz Elementary at 9:30 a.m. and at Teeland Middle School at 1:00 p.m.
