First reminders hit mailboxes for Anchorage's switch to election by mail

Anchorage voters are receiving address verification cards in the mail ahead of the city's first election by mail.
The Municipal clerk's office says 208,000 registered voters in Anchorage should receive the postcard by the end of this week.
Ballot materials will be mailed to the city's registered voters 21 days before the April 3, 2018 election day.
Even with the earlier mailing deadline, voters may still
information until the normal deadline, of March 3.

, but since the PFD deadline is March 31, procrastinating filers who want to update their information to vote in Anchorage may want to beat that deadline.
