Camp 49 to feature NHL hockey talent
Everyone had a favorite athlete growing up. It was someone you were inspired by.
For Hunter Fejes, it was hockey players. As he pursues his dream of playing in the NHL, he wanted a chance to inspire young hockey players just as he was when he was growing up in Alaska.
Fejes is putting on Camp 49, a hockey camp that will run from July 16th to the 20th at the Subway Center.
The camp will be open to players ages 8 to 14, boys and girls.
It will also feature some coaches in the form of big names in the National Hockey League. These names include Dustin Byfuglien from the Winnipeg Jets, Jimmy Johnson from the Edmonton Oilers as well as the Hickel sisters, Zoe and Tori and other big names.
"These guys are going to help mold and shape, what they expect and hopefully we can help them take away a couple things," Fejes said. " They can use it during the hockey season so that they can be better and where they want to be."
Lunch will be provided at the camp and there will be an autograph session with the players. There will also be a silent auction at the rink. The money will be donated to various organizations around Anchorage.
