Just beyond the chalet at Russian Jack Park, down the paved path and across a bridge is a nondescript trail that is the home of... fairies. Along with the Anchorage Museum’s Seed Lab, Barbara Brown had the inspiration for building "Fairy Houses." The path is short but filled with tiny homes for our magical friends, but you have to look closely as they blend in with the wooded scenery. Dave went there and ran into an Irish woman named Ann who — as luck would have it — had a poem about fairies ready to read. Sometimes chance encounters are the most magical in the most magical places.
