ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Two men were killed in a plane crash Friday morning on the Kenai Peninsula.
Alaska State Troopers reported that they responded to a report of a single-engine Champion 7GCBC plane that went down near Tustumena Lake just before 11:30 a.m.
The crash left 70-year-old Danny Presley of Happy Valley and 58-year-old Keith Presley of Ninilchik dead.
A family member confirmed to Alaska’s News Source that the two men were brothers and that Danny Presley was the pilot at the time of the incident.
Troopers said the bodies of both men were recovered and taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office. The National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the circumstances around the crash.
Troopers said the Alaska Rescue Coordination Center called for help after initially responding to the crash site.
