ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Anchorage hikers gear up for the solstice hike that features a trampoline on top of Flattop Mountain.

A Facebook post says the trampoline will be at the Glen Alps trailhead at 10 p.m. Saturday. Those participating are encouraged to take a piece of the trampoline up this classic Anchorage hike. The trampoline will be assembled at the top.

“You get a whole new perspective on being on the top of the mountain,” Cody Holland, one of the participants, said last year.

“You know, that extra freedom type of feeling that comes with jumping on a trampoline.”

Organizers on Facebook remind those hoping to participate that carpooling is encouraged, all pieces going up must come down and the trampoline does best when people take turns.
