Alaskan makes final table at World Series of Poker Main Event with $10M grand prize
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The 2025 World Series of Poker No Limit Hold’em Main Event started earlier this month with 9,735 players vying for a $10 million first prize.
In the weeks since, that field has whittled all the way down to just nine, including — for the first time since 1991 — an Alaskan.
Adam Hendrix (second from the right in the post below) of Anchorage will represent the state at the highest-stakes table in the world during the two-day finale to the Main Event.
According to poker statistics database The Hendon Mob, Hendrix has amassed almost $8.3 million in winnings during his career — among the best of Alaska’s all-time money winners — and 33rd on the website’s Global Power Rankings.
In his first-ever World Series of Poker Main Event, Hendrix has already guaranteed himself a $1 million payout simply by making the final table.
The prizes steadily increase the longer one makes it, culminating in a $10 million grand prize for the last player standing.
The table plays out over the course of two days, starting on Tuesday.
