ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Alaska’s minimum wage will be increasing to $14 per hour on July 1, according to the Alaska Department of Labor.
The increase comes as a result of the passage of Ballot Measure 1 in November 2024. The minimum wage will receive another boost on July 1, 2027, to $15 per hour.
At the beginning of 2028, the minimum wage will return to annual adjustments for inflation.

The state minimum wage previously went up to $13 per hour last year. The Alaska minimum wage applies to all hours worked in a pay period regardless of how the employee is paid.
