Brothers killed in plane crash just miles after takeoff
WARREN COUNTY, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) - Two brothers died when their plane crashed shortly after takeoff in Warren County.
Brian Ramsey, 69, and Keith Warren, 65, died on Wednesday. According to the National Transportation Safety Board, they were killed when their plane crashed into a cornfield near Morrison.
NTSB officials said there is video of the plane making contact with something while departing.
“In the video, you can see what appears to be something leaving the airplane, and we were able to confirm that with what we saw on scene,” an NTSB investigator said.
Officials said the plane hit a tree before crashing into the cornfield. It was in the air for about seven miles before the crash.
The NTSB said they are sifting through all the debris to learn more, and they should have their preliminary report done within the next 30 days.
