Halle Berry’s ex accuses her of child abuse

LOS ANGELES (CNN) — Olivier Martinez, the ex-husband of actress Halle Berry, is accusing her of child abuse, according to court filings.

Martinez alleges Berry physically abused their 12-year-old son by jumping on him and choking him.

Martinez also filed for a temporary restraining order, adding there have been “other instances of abuse” over the years. He is asking for sole custody of the boy.

Berry’s attorney responded in a statement, calling the filing “entirely meritless and deliberately misleading.”

The attorney added that it was “not entirely unexpected from an individual with a well-documented history of erratic, possessive and violent behavior.”

Berry and Martinez divorced in 2015 after two years of marriage.
