Michael Gray, star of the ‘Shazam!’ TV series, dead at 75

PALM DESERT, Calif. (Gray News) - Michael Gray, known for his role as Billy Batson in the television series “Shazam!” has died. He was 75.

The actor’s publicist told TMZ and People on Oct. 22 that Gray died on Oct. 16 in Palm Desert, California. Reports say that he died of natural causes.

While Gray was best known for his starring role in “Shazam!” as a teenager who could turn into Captain Marvel, the former teen idol was also known to frequent the cover of Tiger Beat.

He appeared in several other shows, including “The Little People” and “The Brady Bunch.”

No funeral information was immediately available.
