Gray Media Group, Inc., operator of Anchorage-based KTUU-TV, Channel 2 and KYES-TV, Channel 5 is excited to announce the launch of its new signal.

In an age of streaming, channel surfing and binge watching — it’s clear consumers want to enjoy quality programming and stay informed with local news. Many of our Anchorage viewers have called our engineering department about signal strength and questions related to over the air reception.

We heard their concerns and added a transmitter, allowing us to offer our complete line up for free to more homes in Anchorage, including the East side along Muldoon and the Hillside.

The new signal is running at the maximum power level allowed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for low power television transmitters.

After completing a rescan on their television sets, more Anchorage-based households should expect to receive the most up-to-date local news and NBC programming on KTUU, Channel 2 and the Justice Network. With KYES, Channel 5 syndicated shows including classic sitcoms, daytime court, and legal dramas fill the screen on Antenna-TV and Heroes and Icons.
